Whilst technology and medical advancement is well established
to determine the ability to feel, see and hear, the art
and science of measuring the health of the human nose is
still largely unexplored.
The ClinicNose is the first invention of its kind based
on our technology in the design of olfactometers. It uses
a systematic and computerized method for measuring olfaction
sensitivity, ie how well the nose can smell. The innovation
was granted the prestigious Innovator Award in 2002 by The
Enterprise Challenge unit (TEC) of the Prime Minister’s
Office in Singapore. It has been successfully trial-tested
at the Singapore General Hospital (ENT Department).
